Hmmm...

Perhaps I am a little over-sensitive to these things, but the HGTV show "I Want That!" comes off to me as a bit too close to a certain book I knew as I grew up:

Yep, that's right: The Berenstain Bears Get the Gimmies.

A cautionary tale my mother impressed upon me at the ripe old age of 4 (since, apparently, I had acquired a case of said "gimmies") It served to throw a few roadblocks in the way of my budding hedonism.

Because, I mean, who doesn't want to be like the Berenstain bears? Really? That's right, everyone does.

Don't get me wrong, I love new tech. I am generally glued to Engadget, Digg, and TUAW... but c'mon...

Can't the title of the show at least sound a little awe-struck, rather than like a grubby toddler in a shopping cart?
