The drill writer for this show sucks. And he's crazy!!
And I really like the Kenji Bunch song they use in this. What's that? They call it original music? Sounds to me like Swing Shift....

Well, I am using the Kenji Bunch piece, Swing Shift: Night Flight, for a band this year.
It's main melody is the same one AG calls "original" in the 2003 show. Bunch wrote his piece 2 years earlier.
One could just call it coincidence... but considering "original music" in Synergy (RR04) exactly copies Saliva's "Bleed for Me," me thinks it's more of a pattern.
